Today, FTPA is one of the oldest independent law firms in France, having been involved in a number of strategic high-profile cases.

FTPA was created in 1972 by Alain Berchebru de Foucaud, a former tax inspector and university professor, Serge-Antoine Tchekhoff and Philippe Pochet.
