Bénédicte BOUCHARD began her career in 1986 as a legal assistant at an industrial equipment firm, where she gained experience in contract drafting and negotiations. She later went on to practice at an international law firm based in Washington for a period of two years.

She joined the insurance practice of the same firm’s French legal department and served for seven years. During this period, she gained expertise in the negotiations and management of insurance warranties and claims. She was later in charge of issues pertaining to intellectual property, real estate and employment law.

She developed expertise in matters relating to commercial and litigation contracts, including arbitration contracts.

Bénédicte Bouchard holds a Master’s degree in business law from Paris I University (1986), a Master’s certificate in law from Paris II University (1985). She graduated from renowned French business institute, Sciences Po (1984).
